What We Do

· The Ability Center of Southern Nevada is The First and only GYM in the State of Nevada 100% dedicated to people with special needs, with a Mission to Empower Ability to Enhance Well-Being , and a vison of making exercise easily accessible to people with special needs.

Prior to the creation of the ability center there were no gyms specifically designed for people with special needs

Our Vision

Our vision is to empower, enhance and increase the natural ability of those with physical, mental, and developmental disabilities. We accomplish this by creating a Sensory Fitness Center. A unique gym with imaginative backgrounds, tailored equipment and motivating coaches that bring to life exercise routines focusing on the natural abilities of each individual.

Our Goal

The overachieving goal of The Ability Center of Southern Nevada is to increase access of physical exercise to the special needs community. Through the power of exercise, our members discover new strength, ability, confidence, and fulfillment that carries over into all aspects of everyday life. The Ability Center of Southern Nevada is currently the only gym of its kind in the state specifically designed to meet the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the disabled and special needs community. The Ability Center of Southern Nevada will immediately bridge the gap and become an essential part of the Las Vegas community.

Peering

Our Members with special needs and disabilities are like all people in that they want friendship, respect, and recognition. Through peer integration, members commonly develop respect and begin to be fully included in society. With our experienced coaches and sensory settings, we can provide one-on-one and group athletic forums to help gain the skills and confidence for everyday challenges and social activities.

Mentoring

Coaches will provide personal support and encouragement to our members as they use their natural ability in order to maximize their potential, develop their skills, and help increase their confidence to reach goals. Building these relationships will help gain the trust and confidence of our members and their families, this being a pivotal component to our success.
